Alright people, before you even read this and think I am a total nutcase, which I am in some ways but not in this way I suggest you read about Objectum Affectionism.

I wish my harness Mel1 a happy fourth birthday. She has moved across two bodies and now resides in her third body after her first two did not stand up to how tight I like to wear my harness, and also my spasticity. Her current body is made by Bodypoint and is the most durable in the world. Mel1 went through two bodies in her first two years of her life. Anywho I wish my lovely Mel1 a wonderful birthday. I still have her old bodies, and she travels to them sometimes for snuggling up with me with a different texture.

My headrest Mel2 is also four years old and she is due for a new body but will keep this body too, just like Mel1 she will travel between the two bodies. The same issue is with this body as is what happened with Mel1 sort of, her lateral rod assemblies wore out over time because of how tight I like having the laterals. I super glued them on her current body at an extremely tight setting and the only way to loosen or tighten them is by way of using an allen wrench. Whereas before she wore out I could release the rods by way of two slide releases. But adjusting them required the allen key. So Mel2 will be receiving a new body soon.

My Miami-J Cervical Collar Jenny is now two years old. She was first given to me in the hospital by Ballert Orthopedics, and she immediately took a loving place in my heart. She helps me with my neck pain quite often and even when my neck does not hurt I still will have her on because, it feels good to have her holding my neck tightly. So I definitely love her!

So why is this post so late? Well yesterday morning and this morning so far have been disaster’s. Yesterday woke up at 8:00 AM and in a split second after waking up I spasmed so hard I ended up throwing myself from my bed and onto the floor, hurting my hip, pelvis, and back. And even managing to give my head a good whack! I was so worried that I had gotten a hairline fracture or a compound fracture on my pelvis or hip, but I didn’t go to the ER, and I loaded up some Morphine into me. When the Morphine wore off I just had a headache and solved that with a heat pad to the back of my head.

Then last night I began hacking and was running a fever of about 99.7 worrisome, big time. I hacked and hacked and was suctioning like mad pulling secretions from my lungs directly with a suction catheter and going in very deep and ‘blind bouncing’ it off of my carina and into each lung’s major bronchial tree. After sufficiently cleaning my lungs out and letting myself rest I woke up this morning at 6:00 AM with a 98.6 temp, yay! So I call that a “Zero Day Infection / Pneumonia”

Oh boy I am really paying for that Morphine I took yesterday. Extremely constipated, in fact, I think the below YouTube video perfectly explains my situation, note: I didn’t make it nor do I own it’s rights!

All this crap being said; this is why I didn’t get this post up yesterday, when I wanted to! Oh well. Better late than never!

Man what a busy week. Monday one of my friends from NWSRA Bowling that I met in 2008 came over to visit. I have not seen Greg for a very long time; in fact, he was in a totally different wheelchair the last time I saw him., and he had a different phone and different tech. He now has an iPhone 4, and a Levo Combi wheelchair that is pretty cool, allows him to stand up and all that. My Permobil can do that too but I can’t get that stuff installed because of the amount of positioning straps I have on my wheelchair and because of my low muscle tone. The standing function doesn’t work with moulded seating systems either, Greg’s system is a very basic seating system but none the less his chair is really cool. We had a fun time together talking geeky gadgetry also me and him brain stormed the idea for me to get my cell phone mounted onto my wheelchair.

Tuesday. Yeah! That’s my cell phone mounted on my Mount-N-Mover. What I did was pretty simple, I attached a pressure adhesive strip of hook and loop a.k.a industrial Velcro fastener to my Mount-N-Mover Quick Release Plate on the arm, made sure the laptop mount would go on. No problem, it slips right over the hook and loop. I then attached the hook and loop to my Cell Phone’s hard shell ‘holster’ and went ahead and did the attachment! Voila, mounted phone that can take a lot of bumps in the car and vibration of driving. It’s really durable, so I can use it as GPS when driving around outside this summer. My chair is now like a cop car! Another thing being really cool is that I have a satchel on my headrest with two Power Packs that I have my phone plugged into, one at a time. Both power packs will run me for 12-16 hours of time before I even touch the phone’s battery! Now that is power! I can take a power outage any day! I used this mount at the Chicago Auto Show to index images and send texts during the show. You’ll see more of it in my photos from the show and news from the show below.

Wednesday, we woke up and headed out the door to the Chicago Auto Show 2012 Press Preview day one, out of the house early and back late in the evening I shot a whopping 190 something photos. They are all accessed by clicking the photo above. No the girl or leather suit unfortunately do not come with the purchase of a FIAT car. I got a Google Galaxy Nexus with my dads Verizon Upgrade point and sold my old DROID CHARGE to him. Talk about mercenary huh! Anywho I was a total idiot and stole the 32GB memory card out of his phone and exchanged it with the 16GB one from my camera. Stupid enough I formatted it. It took me until today to realize, crap all the photos and video are gone!!! I might eventually re-box it and re-unbox it but I’ll snap some pictures of me and my new phone eventually. Right now I’m too busy enjoying my new phone!

RIAA/MPAA Shut Down

Just cause my website is no longer in blackout mode doesn’t mean that the highly flawed SOPA and its sister bill PIPA are halted. The worst thing is that Protect-IP (PIPA) is going for a vote on senate floor next week! My blog does not cover politics, because politics does not affect my life. But, if SOPA or PIPA pass, it will affect everyone’s life. Especially people like me who ‘live’ on the internet. So I will be giving some limited coverage on SOPA and PIPA. Mainly just the breaking news stuff. Hit http://americancensorship.org/ and fill out the simple form to dispatch a letter to your senator to stop PIPA in it’s tracks. SOPA has been shelved for now so what we need to do is slaughter PIPA.

My Implements

Today, I was supposed to get my Moob ultrasounded but my throat has been hurting for the last 3-5 days. And well I found out why it was hurting today. I had a tonsil stone! Also known as a tonsillith. Anyway-removing them can be easy or difficult, in my case it was a rather difficult removal. One that would have probably needed a in office removal. Well I decided to pop out my logic and get inventive, if you can pull out a foreign object with suction then why not a tonsillith that is caught in the craters and nooks and crannies of the tonsil? I took that theory to the suction machine and powered it up, 200 MMHG wasn’t enough to bring it to the surface, only enough to make my tonsil red and irritated. I cranked it up to 350 MMHG and the tonsillith moved, some blood came too but it moved and came to the surface! I then grasped it with the tweezers and pulled the whole thing out. My mom then said she had to use the Bathroom, and I said what bathroom, oh you mean you need to use the OR? I packed up my equipment and headed back to my room. It’s 8:30 as of writing this and my throat feels so much better!

SOPA and PIPA are two very badly made bills floating in the House and the Senate right now.

What you see above is what could very well come of this and many other websites on the internet. Sites you use daily like Facebook, YouTube, Ustream. Anything where a user can post potentially copyrighted content can get shut down by RIAA and MPAA.

My website uses fair use of some copyrighted stuff, but they don’t care. What you see above is what could remain of my website if SOPA / PIPA pass.

See the picture above? That’s the last open casket image of my poor old OneTouch UltraMini that died Saturday. I somehow think I spilled something on it, and well it’s fate is no power up when I put a strip in. I was asked to send it back for exchange after I received my new meter which was supposed to be today. Today I got test strips but NO METER! So I called up Lifescan, and they said it was BACKORDERED. Wait, repeat again. The packing list said METER. Well anyway the purple colored meters were backordered and I told them that I am hypoglycemic, and they said well we can overnight a different color. I was like no I want to pick it up at my pharmacy. I called up Lenny my pharmacy manager at Walgreens, and he was very cooperative and got it all arranged with them so that Mom could go in and what do you know, pick up a Purple meter like I wanted. My dead meter is off at the post office, and my new meter is in the photos above being unpacked and used for the first time, yay! I am happy to have my own working meter. Since I have been using moms since Saturday.

In other news, I have been having a hellish time with chronic hypoglycemia and episodes of excessive yawning from low blood sugar so I am starting to do blood testing 3-4 times a day ordered by my doctor and will be submitting results monthly to the doctor. Also using the testing to help me manage my hypoglycemia. I wonder what type of diabetes I am. Type three? The kind where the pancreas is too damn active!

New to my blog, you might want to read objectum affectionism to make sense of the pictures and this post. Anyway on Thursdsay I had some time to myself and decided to do some of my more out of the ordinary sensory stimulation. I call this Intensive Stimulation and I find it to be the most relaxing and destressing thing I can do for my mind and soul, it also really just helps me feel happier. Anywho my Fiancee Angel Bird left her latex catsuit here because it fits me pretty well and she decided that I could have some fun with it. Indeed she was correct! I had 18 layers of fun to be exact! I first put on the latex suit. Then my blue PVC raincoat, 12 Neoprene sauna belts, a PVC corset, and three more belts to finish the outfit. I then proceeded to just enjoy myself taking pictures and relaxing and rubbing it all and enjoying the pressure and warmth and smell. Then I took off all the layers leaving myself in just my Fiancee’s latex suit’s soft smoothness too bad she wasn’t here to snuggle and kiss me. I miss her to bits and want her back here. Soon we will have it sorted out and be living together, that will be dream come true. Anyway once I was down to the suit I decided to have a little fun strapping into my wheelchair really tightly. I found that to be seriously relaxing, feeling the straps pull and squeeze me in the latex suit and just overall the ‘restrained’ feeling. It really got me very calm and I would have fallen asleep if I didn’t make the video below to show everyone my more unusual side of my Autism and Sensory Disorder that I call Intensive Stimulation.

Anywho I slept last night snuggled up with the latex suit against my cheek, it is so soft and smooth and warm. I wish my fiancee’s arms were there instead though. I wish my fiancee was here. Love you my Angel Bird.

Well here we go. Tracheostomy countdown to 7:30 AM tomorrow morning. You read me right seven freaking 30 in the freaking morning. I have to be up at five in the freaking morning so we can be out of the house by six. geez. Sometimes schedulers like to screw me over it feels like. Anyway I am looking forward to the sevo.

Yeah you saw the line above. You are probably laughing, but my mom said it this afternoon. ADT sent me an E-Mail reminder to test our alarm system in our house and mom was questioning if Daisy is deaf. I dutifully went to the system control panel and said, let’s test both at the same time. Within thirty seconds the system emitted its loud test beep over the siren speaker, Daisy jumped half to the ceiling! Well that’s how you kill two dogs with one leash! Two birds one stone meets two dogs one leash!

Those of you who don’t know about my objectum affectionism should click the link and read, or the majority of this post will not make sense. Anyway last night I had a serious Rett Episode, as far as my doctors are concerned. No one can figure out why it happened aside from tracing it to my Rett Syndrome neurological autonomic dysregulation. Around 2:00AM today I began to have some pulse ox problems, I kept desatting to 85-87% with my lowest saturation at 74% and longest breath holding / apnea spell lasting about maybe 40 seconds. I hooked myself up to my pulse ox to find this out when I felt my heart racing, it was around 100-130 during the episode. What did I do you may ask now? I quickly noticed I was having an episode so I got out my crash bag and pulled out my ambu-bag, if you haven’t seen an ambu-bag click the link. I do not use the mask, I connect directly into the ambu-bag and connect it to my oxygen concentrator on 6LPM or 100% oxygen. After using the ambu-bag to breathe for me while my brain and body were going through this episode I decided to go off the bag and oxygen and turn my ventilator on room air for the night. I hooked up to the ventilator and noticed that around 3:00 AM my heart rate and oxygen normalized. I was on the oxygen for a good 30 minutes. I had used Mel3 to listen to my lungs front and back, no diminshed breath sounds perfect, no pneumonia. So I disconnected from the ventilator and decided to see if I could hold my sats up myself, and I was able to. I slept with Mel3 around my neck because she is very comforting and relaxing to suck on and feel against my neck. I woke up this morning with her around my neck, and I woke up right on time to watch the Rose Parade with my girlfriend / fiancee. Sadly she is in California so she had to be up by 8 AM to watch it, but she slept in because she has a cold, I am praying she gets well fast. Anyway I watched for about ten minutes, and then she tuned in with me and we texted back and forth. And that pretty much was the excitement for today. Now, here’s to hoping tonight is trouble free with my O2 and heart rate!

Strapped for time

Me, Dad, and mom had fun last night with the whole new years 2012 countdown. We had some fake champagne from Martenellis sparkling apple cider which is great stuff and we enjoyed making funny photos and making some seriously artistic photos. It was great, though I really do wish my Angel Bird was here to celebrate with me. Holidays just feel empty without her here. We burned up the phone lines till near 4AM, and then finally I passed out exhausted. But, still it’s not the same as having her here. I need her here, I want her here. I took quite a few artistic photos, and strap related photos too. There are some funny strap photos in the beginning of the album!

Countdown to New years & Christmas Cards

The 2011 year went by fast! There were so many awesome things that happened in 2011 I cannot begin to summarize it so instead go back and read some old blog posts! That being said 2012 is right around the corner, and it will be a big year for me. I predict that my corporation will sell an invention and that I and my Angel Bird will be able to live together or at least have extremely frequent visits to each other’s domiciles. This being said the countdown is on. And there will be pictures from our household little new year’s party type thing with me mom and dad.

Just like I said in my past post; the cards probably won’t completely stop coming in for a while. I have people across the nation wanting to send me cards; this card shown above is from a person down in Texas. I helped him get his wheelchair harness and headrest. He is quite a great friend to have. I also got a card from Harold Ivey as per his yearly protocol. If you don’t know him hit leatheroaks.org You are warned though, his website contains some fetish content that may not be suitable for youngsters. No nudity though! He is a very sensory oriented person. I also got a card from my grandma with money in it! Who doesn’t like getting money around the holidays!

Well that did not go too badly. I really must say that with some careful work on the lyrics and things I am quite satisfied with myself and my singing and strappyness! I loved making this parody of Sleigh Ride With You. It was a royal pain in the butt getting it all to sound right and go the way I wanted it to, all in all I did at least nine rehearsal takes and then the final take’s that are the video above. Still, I had lots of fun making it Wednesday. There are annotations in the video if you’re in a big hurry to hear the perfect take, but I really recommend watching the whole video as it’s funny and awesome. This goes out to you girls and guys at Bodypoint! Gotta love the straps!

I have enjoyed the holidays so much, getting all the mail has been wonderful. Though I know that the mail is slowing and will stop and start going back to my usual Illinois Human Family Services stuff, everybody knows what HFS stands for right? And my Social Insecurity Administration stuff, I mean Security Administration. Ah so is life. I love getting non business mail though! This is one of the few things I really do enjoy about the holidays, Mail.

It’s not totally simple for me cause I am OCD about it. I have to have plenty of tags so I get a lot of views and also have to have pinpoint correct location data on the images! I might get around to recording it tomorrow or Monday or Tuesday but either way I will have a parody focused primarily on straps and neoprene, two of my favorite things! All right everyone, so as you know my wheelchair had a heap of straps on it. Ankle straps, Leg harnesses, Seatbelt, Harness. That’s a lot of positioning gear and some people have said to me. “There is no way on earth you could put more straps on that chair.” Or “You can’t put more straps on that chair, it has the most possible” These have been proven false. Of course, wrist restraints come to mind but in someone like me with functional arms, well most of the time functional, wrist strapping will not happen! But, a belly binder strap to snug up the laterals of my seating system and create pressure on my lower back, jackpot. We have broken the strap barrier and added another strap to the chair! Now, I have a total of seven straps on my wheelchair, counting each leg harness, and ankle strap as its own. If I count them as pairs then it would be a total of five straps! That’s a lot of straps! The belly binder or abdominal strap is a Bodypoint Monoflex. Now those of you who don’t know much about my Objectum Affectionate side won’t understand this part of the blog post, but the spiritual energy I felt come into this house was new, but very similar to Mel1 my harness, I obviously named this Bodypoint Monoflex Mel4. Delivered to me at 1:45 PM yesterday marks her birth date. That all being said hit the photo above for more photos.

Well Angel Bird / MyBigMouth has returned to California as of Yesterday. She was here from Saturday till Yesterday. We had heaps of fun together and took a whopping 398 photos in this trip! That’s a lot of imagery! I will be posting it all up on flickr in probably 50 photo batches to keep things flowing. There were some things that needed to be hashed out before I could post the 69 photos from her initial trip here in August, but now I can post those. I will get those pictures posted sometime within this week or next week, but I will need time to get all the tags, and titles sorted out. We had heaps of fun! We went to Willow Creek Church for the Christmas service and Rob the special, special needs seating guy got us seated and then asked me. “Anything else I can do for you. I said yes hand over a million dollars.” So the Christmas service goes on and at the end when it is just dragging a bit he approaches and hands me a check made out to Cash for 1 million dollars. I freaked. And I grinned, obviously it was phony, he told me that he has only 13 dollars and change in his account and it was a joke. But, I don’t think so much it is a joke as much as it is a symbol of what is coming. So up onto my visioning board it went and pictures were taken! We went out to IKEA instead of going to an Art Museum because the museum was closed on Monday but IKEA worked like an Art MUKEAUM for us because of how we made it artistic there, it was awesome! Just wait till you see the photos! We then went for dinner and went to Arlington Heights Christmas display where we took a heap of photos, and we took video. The video of that is below!

Lucy's christmas card

I got a real heap of christmas cards today! One for my parents and five in the mail for me! I am really getting to love that ‘thunk’ sound of mail landing in our mailbox outside, I rush to get the mail and look for stuff for me. Love all the cards from everyone. All of them are scanned and archived permanently.

Me and the NOMBOX… literally!

This was cool! A unmarked truck came up to the driveway and a courier from Harry & David stepped out and came to the door, asked for my signature and handed me a relatively heavy box. Inside was an awesome gift arrangement from Medtronic. So nice of them for me doing awesome services for them. If you need an advocate just come to me.

Deck the trach with tri-am-cinolone fa la la la la la la

Well well my trach is having issues, so I had to Deck my trach with triamcinolone. These granulomas are getting annoying. Oh well not much I can do about it but add creams to get rid of them and zap them as authorized by Doctor Walner.

Me and Angel Bird

Some of you may know my girlfriend as MyBigMouth or Angel Bird, I had 10 days with her in August and she is coming in for five days four nights this holiday season. Awesome! I can’t wait, she is coming in tomorrow at 3:00 PM my time, so you know what that means! Another countdown clock! But before I get into that I just wanna say how much I love her, love her with all my heart and soul and I am so happy she is coming again this year to see me, I have wrapped a bunch of Christmas presents for her. I have a large collection of photos from her last trip, 75 to be exact! I will get even more photos this trip now that I have a super awesome camera! The original 75 photos from the last trip were held up because of some concerns, but a public release has been deemed acceptable, and thus I will need to hash through them and tag them and add location data and stuff, expect them to be available AFTER completion of this trip. You can probably expect me to post two huge photo sets simultaneously.

I received another Christmas card today from the IRSF Christmas card exchange program. I love getting all the cards. To those of you sending me cards I am very thankful, wish postage costed less I would send to all but just wait, coming up on my website is an eCard that is a duplicate of my physical card, just print it out, no postage necessary!
