Fast Apple

Fast Apple

Well you all know about my new 8 core fancy laptop. if not click the link to go take a quick ogle at my new laptop. Well the battery it shipped with barely lasts an hour and a half under Apple’s test that I conducted on my own. OH and did I mention the battery already had ’2 cycles’ on it already, meaning it was discharged and recharged twice, supposedly new right? that made me and Mai the Apple Customer Relations Specialist who is handling this whole case from me requesting replacement of my old machine to the new machine having any defects immediately upon receipt, this period of communication with the Customer Relations Specialist lasted for about a month or so last laptop, I expect the story line to be very similar.

Battery Specs

Battery Specs

“7.Wireless web testing conducted by Apple in February 2011 using preproduction 2.2GHz quad-core Intel Core i7–based 15-inch MacBook Pro units. The wireless web test measures battery life by wirelessly browsing 25 popular websites with display brightness set to 50%. Battery life varies by use and configuration. See www.apple.com/batteries for more information.”

OK so fine, my processor is a 2.3 GHz quad core Intel Core i7, not a big difference, at least SHOULDN’T BE!!! Heck, my old laptop, the clunker that failed at got sent in would last for 3.5-4 hours, acceptable but not up to specs. But this? 1 hour? No, not acceptable.

So tomorrow I am going in to get my battery exchanged free of charge, hope that fixes it, otherwise might be a problem with the computer its self. Tomorrow will be a quick visit!

Curled up smelling and staring at them

Curled up smelling and staring at them

In Autism news, remember my friend Sea Moon who sent me the silicone swim cap and gloves, he got his hands on more swim caps and sent them to me. They feel and smell wonderful. One thing I liked doing last night was putting all of them onto my head at the same time for some serious squeeze. Then just snuggling up smelling them like the photo above just felt so nice.

EVIL DROID

EVIL DROID

OK, I officially give up on Rooting (Hacking) Android firmware until further notice. I was rooted and using CPU Tuner to save battery. Not sure if it actually saved battery by down-clocking the CPU to 600Mhz but it felt like it. Then I also used some other stuff requiring root. But I updated to Gingerbread and lost ALL of my data, Even a damn NANDroid backup wouldn’t work, 3G Kept not working. I guess I’m not developer enough for this crap. I spent the last 24 hours. From 6 PM last night to 6 PM tonight fixing my phone. What a pain in the ASS. I had to put all my programs and settings back on my phone, thank GOD most programs and settings and all calendars and contacts and backed up by Google. Thanks Google. But Google, do us a favor, Make a developer phone that you can have direct boot loader access to for Verizon. That way I can freaking use SPRecovery which his an alternative boot loader access mechanism than is a lot more reliable than a NANDroid backup. ARGH *Rips hair out*

All in all, it’s all working. I’m not updating for QUITE SOME TIME.

PVC pants and Neoprene from Keith.

Put them on and kind of loose

Put them on and kind of loose Pressing the foamy softness to my face

See what’s on my legs? I got some awesome thick warm PVC pants from Keith who gave me some gifts in the past and well he sent me these awesome PVC pants and this awesome cut of Neoprene. It smells so strong of Neoprene. Last night was awesome sleeping. They are so awesome, warm, and lovely to touch, the sound they make along with the metallic shine is totally relaxing and entrancing! After lots of playing with their shininess and snuggling them around 1:30 AM I settled in and fell asleep wearing them after making a joke photo with a Futurama reference. As for the cut of Neoprene it is a lot of fun to lick and suck on and wrap around my head and smell, it is very thick and awesome. These gifts are really great!!!

Kiss my shiny metal… um PVC ass (Bender from Futurama)

Kiss my shiny metal… um PVC ass (Bender from Futurama)

Anyone who has watched Futurama should be laughing right now. What got into me to take a picture of me with my hand on my butt in PVC well first of all the PVC feels so nice and smooth but yet the fact it looks like METAL in this photo gave me the idea to snap a quick shot and title it “Kiss my shiny metal… um PVC ass”

So I had lots of fun.

Lots of hugs to Keith my friend!

Grr red throat again

Grr red throat again

So that picture last night today my throat issue was serious and I had a fever of 99.3 so we went to the Immediate Care Center (ICC) it was redder and ugh more painful. Apparently a case of classic bacterial Pharyngitis it is. So I went and got some Amoxicillin and I am already feeling better.

ITS ALMOST HERE

ITS ALMOST HERE

Looks like I will be waking up to a doorbell and a laptop in the morning! ITS HERE!!! Well not necessarily HERE in my house but it’s in the immediate vicinity, Chicago is like only 45 minutes away!

Me and dad fathers day 2011

Me and dad fathers day 2011

two nights ago was fathers day I gave dad a cool card about how we used to go fishing as I can’t really do that anymore. Eventually we will sort it out so I can fish from my wheelchair but he liked the card and we had a good Fathers Day dinner with great steaks (that he cooked) and potatoes. We had a great time last night. Heres to a great dad :)

Grr red throat again

Grr red throat again

Well today if my throat still looks really red like this photo from yesterday and sore I am heading over to the ICC (Immediate Care Center) and grab a doctor to take a look at what is going on with this throat oddity and see if I need an antibiotic. Unfortunately for throat things it usually means a throat culture and waiting up to 48 hours for it to grow bacteria and then antibiotics unless they give me something to fix it tomorrow. I am hoping for a fix tomorrow I don’t like waiting for fixes!

Seizures suck and Wheelchair molding done. Autism Friendly Mold!

OK theres no picture to describe the CRAP that happened to me yesterday morning. I woke up able to speak but SEVERELY impaired, almost like what you would hear from someone with severe speech impairment like a stroke! It was scary but 30 minutes later totally cleared up. Must have been aftershock from a grand mal seizure. Ugh!

Another photo of me in it, this feels good

Another photo of me in it, this feels good

I took a lot of photos yesterday of me having an OBSS Otto Bock Seating System mold made. The therapist and Otto Bock rep were awesome and so understanding of my autism and even let me mold a few things into the mold that I wanted there and let me tell them where I want things and how I want things to feel. As you can see how it ‘hugs’ me at the sides I really pulled those tight around me. It felt so good, I can’t wait to get my trial fit done and then get my final product. They might even make the final product totally covered in NEOPRENE!!! My god that will feel awesome, and be so nice and warm and comforting and ahhhhhHHHHH. Excuse me while I go scream in excitement. I really am thankful for my OT Jill S. and the Otto Bock rep Stacy C. and David V. from my DME supplier for being so understanding got me and my autism. I used to have a molded seating system in the past here but it was made by someone without experience in autism and the mold was rather generic not really customized like this. I wonder if I will ever get out of my wheelchair ever again except for toileting.

Whats your thoughts????

Oh and I want a bed made like the molding thingy, that would feel awesome to curl up in and just like conform it so it hugs around me ahhh. I bet I’m not the only one who wants such a bed!

I won the lottery again!!! New laptop on apple AGAIN

RMA!!! Woohoo!!!

RMA!!! Woohoo!!!

Yesterday I woke up bright and early at 7:55 AM as a result of my computer keyboard the night before rendering its self dead after I did a routine wipe down with a simple Lysol wipe that I have wiped computers with for ages. I waited for 5 solid minutes until Apple opened their phone lines and then right at 8:00 AM i called and got a customer relations executive and discussed the problem and also discussed the battery issue. The woman and I said to each other listen, this machine has been repaired way too many times. A whole motherboard etc. etc. etc when my iMac in the living room is 6 years old and has never needed a single repair. The woman said I was correct and said that there is no reason for an Apple product to ever need repairs in it’s lifetime if it is built up to their specifications. Therefore I feel that you should receive a replacement machine. So here we go just like last year I jumped up and down went into the bedroom, woke up mom, yelled IM GETTING A NEW COMPUTER and thus begun the story of My new Macbook Pro. Well It is now Thuesday as I type this, and they will be hopefully processing the order today and starting the build of my machine today and shipping it out to me to arrive by next Friday. I can’t offing wait. If you want to read the story of the MacBook Pro which is the one that is being replaced ironically, I got the machine for free! you may do so by reading this post. Funny enough that the machine that they sent to me at no charge ended up being a LEMON in less than a year! I got it November 1st of last year, and it is only June 15th when it failed. Oh well, looks like at the rate I am going I will never have to pay for a Mac again.

So heres the specs!

  • 2.3GHz Quad-core Intel Core i7 (8 cores technically, boosts up to 3.2 GhZ)
  • 8GB 1333MHz DDR3 SDRAM – 2x4GB
  • 500GB Serial ATA Drive @ 7200 rpm
  • SuperDrive 8x (DVD±R DL/DVD±RW/CD-RW)
  • MacBook Pro 15-inch Hi-Res Glossy Widescreen Display

Trach seen by Dr. Walner and Heaven or Hell sign

Pressure sore

Pressure sore

Well today I went to doctor Walners office cause he wanted to see me due to my odd trach site. Healed everywhere though the lower left is failing to heal. It is odd. Dr Walner looked and said the Tracheostomy stoma looks great… my neck has a pressure sore that we do not want to escalate into an ulcer so we are going to be doing some solutions go get pressure distribution under control.

Heaven or Hell

Heaven or Hell

Well this was funny, me and mom were driving home from the doctors office yesterday, someone apparently hit or bent or otherwise damaged this sign to the point it well.. Points up and down. Mom was quick witted and say “Hey look Alin, where are we going Heaven, or hell?” and I said “We are making a left hand turn and thusly the sign sort of points left toward our house so apparently heaven” We both laughed and I had to snap this picture. This is one of those funnies you just can’t let go!
