Yesterday went great, the usual. Go in, get sevo’d out, swap trach, wake up, go home. The cool thing is I woke up very quickly after the procedure thanks to my great anesthesiologist Dr. Lowenthal. She is a very fun personality to be around!
Well Apple has pulled the plug on it’s ProCare program in favor of a program called JointVenture that is focused towards Small Business and Mid to even enterprise. However that leaves consumers stranded with longer lines, no more priority support and all the stuff that ProCare offered. Most important to me were two features of ProCare

If you have a quick technical question or need to drop off a repair, just flash your ProCare card. You’ll skip right to the head of the line at the Genius Bar — and we’ll take care of the rest.

You rely on your Mac and need it in top working order. So if you ever bring it in for repair, you’ll want it back right away. As a ProCare member you get, “Next in Line, First on the Bench” service on all in-store repairs
Well the manager of our local store Al tried to ring up a ProCare card they had laying around and it would not go through because it is discontinued. He said don’t worry just give me a call at the store and I will Fast Track or Rapid Repair your machine for you. His genius Ryan rushed my computer into the back like it was a trauma victim off of a helicopter being rushed into an Operating Room of a hospital, he greeted us at the door and mom handed him the computer and off he was! He returned with my mac with a fixed microphone in less than 30 minutes. Yay!
