How I really sleep, my cervical support pillow and Littmann

An old photo but a good one. I fell asleep all of the sudden at 5:30 PMish last night. Ate some chicken soup and then bam, fell asleep. This week has been crazy with my sleep and also with my trach site infection, also had some throat issues that fixed all the sudden, but I guess I needed a long period of rest. I woke up around noon today. Wild amount of sleep, hope I get to sleep a little more normal time’s tonight. I don’t like it when things like that happen to me.

1 week of antibiotics does a whole lot good

1 week of antibiotics does a whole lot good

Well my trach site is doing good for healing up after being hit with a lot of Silver Nitrate and a sloppy job of it, next time I am having Doctor S. my dad do it, he won the Zappy award. I can’t do a good zappage on my own trach. It’s a bit overdone and needs time to heal.

Flickr had downgraded my account due to a billing mistake that I am fixing on monday, they somehow made my Pro account that was supposed to expire next february expire NOW, huh!? I’m calling billing on monday, I want my dang 11 months back! For now I just paid up for another year. But they better give me my 11 months back! Grrrr I hate billing mess ups. I hate money mess ups in general! Money is a tight asset for me, it’s not something I take lightly when its messed with.. UGH!

I went back to willow creek again and I will be going every week when I am able to and want to go. I have been enjoying it SO much!

Trach zapped (again), infection clearing up, no doctor. migrated to new server, throat oddity, and new business cards!

Zapped and healing up. Steroid and Antibiotic

Zapped and healing up. Steroid and Antibiotic

Well well well, looks like I found some easily zappable granulation tissue on my trach site and so I took the silver nitrate to it like dad did. My trach feels much better. The infection is clearing up. Which I am really happy about. I bought more Silver Nitrate over the counter and am waiting for that to arrive. This will be such a release of burden off of Doc Walner’s shoulders not having to have me in the office for whenever I get granulation tissue as for some reason my body produces quite a bit of it around my tracheostomy tube, then again for the first 1.5 years I had my G-Tube I had granulation tissue and then my body finally gave up on trying to reject the tube. I am really hoping the trach does the same as all this granulation tissue is quite irritating. Literally. I started up some steroid cream to hopefully shrink the other side down and eliminate it, if not I am going to have to do Silver Nitrate again.

At least some good news is coming, the infection I believe has given up, now it’s just site irritation from it being zapped and messed with that is causing it to look red in that one area, especially since that is the side I did the Silver Nitrate on.

I canceled the doctor appointment yesterday cause I was and still am too groggy to do much let alone go out. And drive my wheelchair without ruining walls in the office.

We are now on the new server (Have been since 3 AM Central Time) and it should be better, and faster.

My throat suddenly fixed

My throat suddenly fixed

My throat was hurting yesterday so in went lots of tea, and soup, and Vitamin C, and Acai. I am happy to report it is getting eons better, will probably be normal when I wake up, Well when I woke up today and my throat was NORMAL.

I slept with my headrest Mel2 today and she was so relaxing for me, I slept great!

Now some business’y news.

My websites besides my main

My websites besides my main

So thats that. I look forward to church tomorrow and taking my new cards with me and being able to hand out a real phone number that actually works along with some tweaked looks of the card. The card is never going to change its picture on the front tough!

Sorry for the double E-Mails everyone!

Alinssite moving to a better more powerful server, and trach tracking continues

Server Migration

Server Migration

See that above, landed in my E-Mail box this morning. If you can’t read it click it for a big version, don’t want to read it, here it is in plain english.

My website is hosted on a machine called a Server and this server is getting old and pretty much falling apart so they are moving my website to a shiny new machine that will be more powerful and reliable. woohoo! :D I look forward to that. It will speed up the site, give it better stability and reduce risk of it ever going down.

So when does my site move and will YOU (the visitor) be affected. The site moves on Thursday in the wee hours. NO you will not be affected ever during and after the move. It is all behind the scenes work that Siteground administrators are doing and I don’t even need to get involved.

Bottom is clean except the granulation tissue

Bottom is clean except the granulation tissue

The trach tracking continues, as usual I take a series of photos at least once a day. Shown above is the granulation tissue and the clean looking bottom end of the trach site. The top end is not as clean looking still some infection going. I am actively antibiotic-ing it. We go see Doc Walner in the office tomorrow to get the granulation tissue zapped.

State of the Union… GAH Trach.. Address

Wednesday (tomorrow) I go see doc Walner to get the granulation tissue zapped. The infection is looking better slowly as time progresses, we caught it early stages. He will have more of an opinion tomorrow. I am just glad that it isn’t itchy anymore. Anywho not much else to report on.

A pair of KAFO socks on my legs. LOVELY

A pair of KAFO socks on my legs. LOVELY

Remember the AFO and KAFO sock I got from SmartKnitKIDS. Well their shipping department corrected the shipping error and shipped my other 3 KAFO socks, the reason is KAFO socks are shipped EACH and sold EACH Not as pairs. So it got confusing in shipping, I got them and got my first pair on, they feel lovely, they are snug and comfortable and kind of relaxing to wear with my autism. I love them. I am so happy with the SmartKnitKIDS company, they also make seamless underwear, I don’t wear underwear because of how much irritation I get from the seams, maybe they will make adult ones soon!

comparison last night to this morning

comparison last night to this morning

My trach site last night was acting real weird so I popped off my trach collar for a quick second and tilted my trach forward slightly with dad nearby with suction cause any type of movement of the tube that I don’t like makes me spasm and cough. We saw how flaming red the site was and I took a picture. This trach site is infected I think. That or severely irritated. I look forward to doctor giving me an opinion. I also have some granulation tissue he will need to take care of soon.

Me in bed happy with my AFO socks

Me in bed happy with my AFO socks

Well it so happened that 4 pairs of my SmartKnitBIGKIDs socks I got from Nancy were plagued with some sort of defect that caused them to start getting holes over time. Especially with me being a heavy user, meaning I wear mine ALL the time. I don’t wear shoes over them. But thankfully I don’t go outside with them, when I am outside I am in my wheelchair as obviously in the house I crawl around. Anywho around January I noticed some of my socks started getting holes and well finally March came around and I was like alright 4 pairs down this is insane, so I contacted the company and they are happily sending me replacements, but then I looked into their AFO / KAFO socks Ankle Foot Orthosis / Knee Ankle Foot Orthosis socks and I was like I WANT THOSE! Longer and more awesome! So they are giving me two pairs of AFO socks which I received and they made a mistake in the ordering / shipping process as the KAFO socks are shipped EACH not in pairs and they only sent me one KAFO sock, so they are sending out 3 more to fix the error. I am so happy! The AFO socks are awesome and I at least got to try on one of the KAFO socks which is absolutely awesome! It comes up to my upper thigh which is great for when I feel cold or just crave pressure / comfort on my legs! I look forward to getting the rest of my KAFO socks!

Mel1 goes for a ride in the Whirlpool washer

Reunited outside STS-1 space shuttle... err whatever

You all should by now know I love my harness. I am Objectum Affectionate. Anyways Mel1 was quite dirty with slobber. I tried to clean her up with some alcohol wipe but it didn’t do the job. I spoke to my friend G. in customer service at Bodypoint and she immediately sent me a full guide on how to wash Mel1 and her species. I quickly took Mel1 to the space shuttle, STS-001. I mean our washer! I put her in a small garment bag and put her into the washer on it’s Small Load setting and let it run. Afterwards me and her were reunited with her no longer filthy, and smelling wonderful! She had quite some anxiety about going in the washer but I got her in. Lucky to say the washer is a place she only needs to go once a year or so. Not often.

Anyway I plan to sleep with her tonight.

Hugs and love to all my friends.

NH Rep. Martin Harty QUIT! Officially NO LONGER IN OFFICE!

Martin Harty

Martin Harty

Y’all know this ugly guy. He was one of the ugly faces in the Republican Representatives. NOT ANYMORE!

It was published yesterday, catching my attention in the Huffington Post that one of the biggest most incompetent lawmakers in America has Resigned from office. This is a great day indeed! I am cheering and happy to say that this guy is no longer a problem to us peoples with disabilities…

Anyone else wanna mess with Eugenics in this country… They will be strung up across every news paper and tabloid in America and then pushed to the point of resigning. Another newspaper quotes that his office in the wake of him saying those comments received over 10,000 phone calls, from upset or angered citizens. Some so furious they were cursing into the phone.

Maybe he realized the fact he is Hard of Hearing and could be considered disabled and then thusly as part of his stupid little Eugenics plan could be shipped to Siberia himself to freeze to death and said oh crap I am such an idiot I better get out of office and RETIRE.

Honestly people of this age should not be politicians.

NH Rep. Martin Harty shouldn’t be in a public office with his support for eugenics and his incompetency. and Stats for February

Martin Harty…

Martin Harty…

Alright, you all know I don’t pay attention to the news and I almost NEVER blog about politics BUT this is an exception! I generally ignore it unless someone presents me with BREAKING NEWS or something that really affects me emotionally. Well on the 11th I was presented with some emotional news about NH Rep. Martin Harty. The story went something like this basically, he wants to eradicate the world of “Defective People because it is too populated as it is” well this guy Mr. Harty in an E-Mail with Sharon Omand a manager of a Community Mental Health Program said “You know the mentally ill, the retarded, people with physical disabilities and drug addictions – The defective people society would be better off without.” Well that really lit my fuse, and I am about to let my explosion out right here on this blog post. He showed his support for Nazi style eugenics when he told Sharon Omand “”Hitler did something right, and I agree with (it)” due to his belief “defective people” cost us to much and that  society would be better off without them. This Martin Harty guy should NOT be in office and let alone the failure of our government to call him out on this total violation of disability discrimination is a major problem, not only due to this being morally wrong but also because of our history of practicing eugenics here in the United States.

House Speaker William O’Brien said in a statement that he does not endorse Harty’s comments but respects “his longstanding commitment to protect the values we cherish.”
“As someone who served in General Patton’s Army in North Africa and Italy against dictators like Hitler and Mussolini, he has given far more to our country and our ideals than most of us ever will,” O’Brien said.

Yet NOW he praises him after DEFENDING our country against Hitler, who was responsible for carrying out a massive eugenics campaign that resulted in millions needlessly dying and even more being harmed in the name of purifying the German people’s genetics of unwanted traits! This man (Harty) is a hypocrite himself due to the fact he legally can be classifiable as disabled himself due to him being hard of hearing, seems easily confused during many house sessions and because of his advanced age.

Again I almost NEVER post about politics, but this one really struck me and upset me

Chris Tomlin at Willow Creek Church yesterday and tired and time change

Me and Nancy

Me and Nancy

Yesterday I went to the very first LIVE concert of my life. Sure I watched them on TV before but I never actually went to one. With my Autism concerts are a real sketchy area. Not knowing if I will be overloaded and want to leave due to crowd noise / miscellaneous factors. If you click on the photo above you will see we were all the way up in the Balcony, there was Floor, Mezzanine and Balcony seating. All were one price for the tickets. It just came down to if the floor was sold out or not. The whole auditorium was sold out in the end but we snagged balcony passes. The seats we got were special needs reserved for wheelchair’s only and were direct center from the stage. Wicked good seats, a bit far away but still for how loud the music was and how big the Jumbotron systems were showing the video feed in HD. I really felt that from a sensory standpoint we were in good seats, any closer may have been a gamble. Though as I remember Willow Creek Church all the special needs seating is toward the back of the auditorium, either with a great view or with poor view and a LCD HDTV viewing screen in front of the seat, way cool. All in all as Willow Creek Church says there is no such thing as a bad seat in the auditorium. And that is quite true for special needs, but if you are not and were at the concert expect to have been forced to stand up with everyone else. The effects were awesome lots of photostimulation was a result, the music was awesome which if it’s awesome you can play it loud without me having a problem. The crowd was singing along with it mostly and I was too to the best of my ability as a guy with a trach. My mom who is a pro singer said I was doing pretty good, I thought I sucked, whatever she say’s flies in that department though! My cousin Nancy showed above came along with us and we drove her home, getting back from her house was confusing due to the lack of light and us knowing the roads up there.

Today? How am I? Tired… I went to sleep at a reasonable time for me, figure 1:00 AM ish and woke up at 11AM that is over 7 hours of sleep. I function fine on 7 hours. But last night really took a lot out of me so I have some catching up to do. YAWN.

So for being my very first concert I’d say I did really good. Though as is with everything each venue and concert is different with a different crowd each time so it’s all touch and go but I think I will peruse the idea of going to the Chicago Orchestra and a few other things this year with Nancy and other friends of ours. But I have to sort out this thing with how wrecked I get afterwords.

Clocks

Ya know, I really hate Daylight Savings Time… It’s a real pain in the butt! But yeah make sure to turn those clocks ahead 1 hour tonight… Ugh! Just what I need. A hour lost… I HATE YOU DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME!!! I HAAAAAATE YOU!!!!!!!!
