Disabilities podcast Sensory Integration DIsorder 1 completed
I have manually verified that this episode is working. That is why it took me so long to get it posted here. For now all episodes are going to be manually verified since Talkshoe is giving us a lot of technical issues these days.
Hosted by: Alin S

Episode Notes: This is a REALLY special episode, or should I say series! We will be starting a three week series on sensory integration disorder, we will mostly focus on methods of coping with it as it has already been described in Episode 1 however I will reiterate the description in short. This episode is rated R for heavy profanity.

Photo move canceled
The big photo move to the new MobileMe gallery has been canceled for now. I have decided that interoperability between OS’s and accessibility along with simplicity of navigation are heavily key features to my website and that the MobileMe gallery is too mcuh eye candy without the same or better features than what we have right now. Therefore the move is canceled and the photos will remain as is in their current location at http://www.alinssite.info/gallery
A new friend nearby
One of our new caretakers who we have known forever and is codenamed Uncle Greg told his daughter Sarah that he thought she would be interested in me a few days ago. Apparently she was interested enough to come over today, we had a good deal of fun and I took her identification picture and contact information, making it official that she is a friend of mine. I think she will be a great friend to have.
A new friend from the UK
Well, it looks like I have a new friend. She is mainly on youtube by the name of roadbikemum and works as a RN specializing in management of chronic diseases like mine. She donated 100 dollars to the Alin S fund to help keep things going like clockwork for us. She will continue to be a great resource to our community. In the UK we might meet up, when i am there for my big Make A Wish excursion.

Pump reprogrammed
Today we went and saw my neurosurgeon Dr. Shaun O’Leary for my one week follow up after the repair surgerie’s. We were supposed to see him last week but saw him early in the operating room. Today he checked everything and also the Medtronic tecnician was there and so they decided to kick up the dose on my pump 10 mcg, so right now I am getting approximately 70 mcg per day, I think. Next week we go back to get the stitches taken out of my back and hopefully it will stay closed this time! They will also kick the pump up by 20 mcg more. Their plan is to get me up to a state of drooling all over myself with zero muscle tone and then slowly pulling it back till I regain ability to move and speak.
Clarifying some Make A Wish stuff and a donation
I have been receiving loads of questions about the upcoming Make a Wish trip. Therefore I am making this blog post to answer them so that we can hopefully cut down on the repetition of the same questions in my E-Mail, not that I don’t love getting E-Mail but the same questions over and over can get a bit… redundant, hehe.
Our original Make a Wish plan was to send me to New York to ring the opening bell on the New York Stock Exchange, due to restrictions placed after 9/11 and the fact that it is all scheduled out as far as next year we decided that going to new york is not a viable wish. Therefore my back up and probably should have been primary wash was to travel to England to visit my many friends and take a look around the place that might become my future home. We are also going to ride the chunnel for a day trip to Paris, I am more excited about the really fast train than going to Paris since I have no friends there. We will be spending eight days in England not including the two days required for travel into England and back.
This blog will be updated when we receive travel itinerary information, when we receive our room number the address and room number of the hotel will be prominently displayed on the front page of the website. VISITORS ARE WELCOME, THERE WILL BE SPECIAL DAYS DEDICATED FOR VISITATION.
Oh and Bob the man on the left donated $50 dollars recently within the last few days, so thanks dude!

I got some new toys
- My laptop with my new DVI cable
- My DVI cable going up to the 42″ inch TV
- iPod Touch 32GB Front View
- iPod Touch 32GB Back View
I got some new toys over this weekend and today. On Saturday I got my new 32GB iPod touch which I sold my iPhone for. I also sold a clarinet I had from band a long time ago and decided to use some of that money to get a cable to hook up my laptop to my 42” 1080i HDTV. I wrote this entire blog post on said 42” HDTV and it was awesome. My new iPod touch is barely full with only about 2.5 GB of stuff on it, majority being photos. I do not listen to huge amounts of music is the issue, but we will watch that iPod touch fill up with photos pretty fast, especially with the trip to England coming. I am sure I will be taking pictures of EVERYTHING.
